A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said there is a spiritual dimension to the frequency of plane crashes in Nigeria.
Mr. Fani-Kayode, who said this in an interview with PREMIUM TIMES, said there is a “blood cult” in the aviation ministry that believe shedding human blood brings power and wealth.
“There is definitely a spiritual aspect to this (plane crashes), because it’s bizarre,” he said.
“In my view, there has always been a blood cult that operates in the ministry of aviation. There are some people that are very strange,” he added.
The former minister said he resorted to prayers during his tenure to fight off the blood cultists and ensure there were no crashes at the time.
The Osun born politician said that while the cultists mellowed during his time in office, they sadly seem to have returned.
In this first part of the revealing interview, he said the new wave of safety concerns in Nigeria’s aviation industry might just be the beginning of another cycle of plane crashes in the country.
