Several
top Nollywood stars attended a welcome dinner for the Nigerian Olympic
team, which was held in London last Sunday (July 8). Present at the
dinner were Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva, Justus Esiri, Kareem Adepoju, Segun Arinze, Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey, Bimbo Akintola, OC Ukeje, and Lala Akindoju. The Nollywood stars will be staging several plays in the UK, during the Olympics.The dinner was organized by the Central Association for Nigerians in the United Kingdom (CANUK), and it was held at La Royale Banqueting Suites on White Hart Lane. Many members of the Nigerian community in the UK were at the dinner, including Ambassador Oluwatoyin Kayode Lawal, Prince Mike Abiola, Danny Shittu, Adebayo Jones, Alexander Amosu, Dayo Olomu, Councillor Michael Adeyeye, Councillor Kate Anolue, Wale Ojo, and Alistair Soyode.
