Lagos,
Nigeria, July 17th, 2012: The Director of Regulatory and Government
Affairs, Osondu Nwokoro, and the Director of Corporate Communications
& CSR, Emeka Oparah, were among the 20 employees who were celebrated
last weekend by leading telecommunications company, Airtel Nigeria, for
10 years of dedicated and meritorious service.
At a
colourful event held at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos, hundreds
of Airtel staff gathered to cheer and rejoice with their colleagues who
have attained the one decade mark with the company.
Speaking
at the occasion, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of
Airtel Nigeria, Rajan Swaroop commended the recipients of the Long
Service Awards, for their commitment and contributions to the growth of
the organization.
“As an employer of choice, we have developed
robust programmes to retain and motivate our employees just as we are
committed to building an organization that will be managed by loyal and
highly motivated Nigerians. Today, we rejoice with our colleagues who
have put in so much effort and time in building this company and we
thank them immensely for their good work,” he said.
Each of the awardees received a plaque of honour and an expensive gift voucher.
