Malala Yousafzai Victim of Taliban shot flown to UK for treatment

The 14-year-old Pakistani girl shot in the head by Taliban gunmen - for suggesting that girls should be educated - is being flown to the UK for specialist medical treatment. 


Malala Yousafzai, was attacked as she returned home from school in Mingora, north-western Swat, in early October.

An air ambulance - provided by the United Arab Emirates - is transporting her to Birmingham, where she will be treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Major Trauma Centre.
