Pepsi Eyes Camp Mulla as Brand Ambassadors


New beverage entrant, Pepsi Company is reported to be eyeing Camp Mulla as the face of the brand. This is in hopes of roping in the youth to gain foothold in the local soft drinks market.

Our source told Word Is, “The brand at the moment is eyeing the teen market and Camp Mulla are seen as the young hype and relevant brand that will resonate with Pepsi.”

Mohamed Khamis, the General Manager of SBC Kenya limited, which holds the local franchise company for Pepsi in a past interview, told Kenyan press, “The Company is making deliberate strides to feature prominently in forums involving the youth. Globally Pepsi is a strong supporter of youth initiatives”. It has started the marketing campaign with a Sh1m sponsorship of the National Drama Festival .

The company has a range of brands including Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, Diet Pepsi, Seven Up, Mirinda, Evervess imported from the Comesa region. Camp Mulla is made up of Taio Tripper - Matthew Wakhungu, Shappa Man - Benoit Kanema, Miss Karun - Karungari Mungai, K'Cous - Marcus Kibukosya and the founder Mykie Tuchi - Michael Mutooni.
