Zuma on state visit to Angola

South African President Jacob Zuma arrived in Angola on Wednesday for a state visit aimed at reviewing progress in various areas of cooperation between the two countries.
Zuma was due to hold discussions with his Angolan counterpart, Jose Eduardo Dos Santos.
On the agenda, according to the Presidency, was progress on various agreements signed between the two countries.

 "During the visit, the two heads of state are expected to exchange views on issues affecting our bilateral relationship, the SADC region and the continent," the Presidency said in a statement on Wednesday.
The visit also aims to strengthen South Africa's relations with the oil-rich southern African country. Angola is the continent's third-largest economy and has huge untapped investment opportunities.
Angola is one of South Africa's major trading partners on the continent, with almost 90 percent of Angola exports to South Africa made up of are petroleum related products.
The two countries also share tight relations in various areas and continue to work together in maintaining peace and stability, as well as promoting regional integration and the SADC Agenda.
Zuma first visited Angola in 2009, followed by a reciprocal visit from Dos Santos in 2010.
