Hip-Hop Rumors: 50 Cent Calls Lloyd Banks A “Baby” – Says They Haven’t Spoken In 9 Months

It looks like G-Unit may be on the verge of officially falling apart. 50 Cent has reveled that he and Lloyd Banks have not spoken in nine months, and in the same breath, says that Banks is “a baby.” Check out what 50 said below:
“He goes through these things where there’s no communication, and he goes off and does what he wants. It’s set at that point, because I’ve spent marketing dollars so he can go wherever he wants to go and actually go do shows, make money, and do other things,” 50 told radio host Big Boy.

“At that point, it’s fine for him to move around and go do it by himself. I want them to be individuals and operate on their own away from me, I’m fine with it. … We can get on the phone together, but I haven’t spoken to him. I haven’t spoken to Banks in nine months. But this is not the first time this has happened. He’s a baby. He’s the youngest in the actual G-Unit; he got really rich at 19. Both him and Tony [Yayo] have made over $9 million. With [Young] Buck, it was almost $8 million.”

Mary J. Blige's Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, a charity to help women, came under fire last week for failing to pay its vendors, file taxes and repay a $250,000 loan to TD Bank. In an interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez, Blige admitted that the mismanagement occurred and assured listeners that the organization has replaced its entire business team and will make good on the scholarship funding it promised to its beneficiaries.
From Hip Hop DX:
"It happens that FFAWN [The Mary J Blige and Steve Stoute Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now] has been mismanaged [financially]," she explained. "When I found out about all these issues and things concerning FFAWN, I immediately got on the phone with my lawyers and my advisors and tried to rectify this and fix this so none of those women [aided by the charity] would suffer that are going to college ... my goal is to do exactly what I set out to do and my motives were true and upfront: I set out to empower, encourage and help women and because I got a second chance myself, I wanted to give them a second chance. But it turns out that the business part of it was not managed properly…the funding that needed to come in for everything, the business side [of the organization] dropped the ball and everyone was about to suffer."
She added, "Right now as we speak, I've hired a team of people that are making sure that my business is taken as far as FFAWN is concerned. FFAWN is not shutting down, we are restructuring and we put a great team of people in place. I'm just proud to say that the grants, the scholarships that we set out to take care of will be taken care of."

Okorafor Chijioke Daniel
Okorafor Chijioke Daniel, a native of Ebonyi state in Nigeria has been confirmed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for drug trafficking in an Iberia flight conveying Super Eagles players last weekend.
In a statement released by the agency’s head of public affairs Ofoyeju Mitchell, Okorafor was caught with a bag containing 2kg of cocaine; all six parcels of drug were concealed in the sole of 3 pairs of shoes in the suspect’s hand luggage.
According to the law enforcement agent, the suspect will be charged with unlawful exportation and possession of cocaine under section 11 subsection b and d of the NDLEA Act.
NDLEA Airport Commander, Mr Hamza Umar said ‘the 2kg of cocaine was traced to a passenger by name Okorafor Chijioke Daniel. Six parcels of the drug were hidden inside the sole of three pairs of shoes in his hand luggage. Our wall of security was hard for him to break and he wanted to abandon the drug but he failed. His case file is ready and he will soon appear in court’.
While agreeing to the crime, Okorafor, 45, explained his reason for the act by saying ‘I lived in Poland for many years working in a supermarket. Problem began when I lost my job and could not pay my bills. I relocated to Spain where I got the offer to smuggle the drug for 8,000 dollars. It was difficult for me to resist because I have wife and children. This is my first time of smuggling drugs and I was nervous. I wanted to abandon the drugs for fear of arrest but everything worked against me‘.
The suspect hails from Ebonyi State and attended Mgbom Central School but stopped in primary 3.

Nigeria’s Victor Olisa appointed London police commander

A UK-based Nigerian, Mr. Victor Olisa, has been appointed first black commander for the Bexley local council in London.
Olisa, a Chief Superintendent with the London Metropolitan Police, whose grandfather was a police officer in Nigeria, said his focus was on the job rather than on being the ‘first black’ to hold the position.
He pointed out that his ethnicity never affected the way he carried out his duties.
“Policing runs in the family and I have always wanted to be a police officer and ethnicity does not affect that” Olisa told reporters in London, in his reaction on the appointment.
“I consider myself first and foremost a police officer. If (being black) is an advantage, then brilliant; If it’s a disadvantage, I will have to deal with that, I can’t hide it.”
Olisa said a lot was being done to address racism within the force, adding that it was the responsibility of the force to correct wrongs and not an institution for people with racist views.
“I am impeccably against anyone who uses racist language or behaves in a racist manner. This will not be allowed under my watch…I believe that everyone should be treated with dignity wherever they come from,” Olisa said.
Olisa, 52, was born in Warri, Delta State, Southern Nigeria.
He is one of the three chief superintendents from black minority ethnic background working for the Metropolitan Police.
He started his career in Surrey Police in 1982 before transferring to the City of London Police in 1990 as a detective inspector in the fraud squad.
After a spell at the Home Office, he transferred to the Metropolitan police in 2006 as a superintendent in Southwark Council before his recent appointment.
